HOW TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR YOUR CAP?
It is recommended that you perform regular light maintenance on your baseball cap. Whether your cap is made of wool or cotton, if it gets dirty, the best solution is to wash it by hand, so you won't take any risks. Soak your cap in warm water and scrub it gently with soapy water (detergent, dishwashing liquid or soap). You can use a small brush to scrub the dirtiest areas. Rinse with clean water and drain with a sponge cloth (such as a washcloth).
To clean the inner band, use a slightly damp cloth soaked in soapy water and rub gently to remove traces of perspiration. Rinse the cloth with clean water and wipe the inner band again to remove any traces of soap.
No matter what material your cap is made of, cotton, wool or leather, the fabric of hats is still fragile. Since you can't put it in the washing machine, focus on the stains you see with the naked eye. There are several tips for removing stains from your favorite accessories. First of all, it is recommended to do a light daily cleaning. The right method is to use a soft bristle brush that will remove most stains. When it comes to dust, get a lint roller that will stick the dust and get rid of it. You can easily find these items in stores. Wet wipes will do the trick to wash your cap without damaging it. HOW TO DRY YOUR CAP ?
Never put your cap in the dryer, it may shrink. Always let it air dry (without wringing it out to avoid deforming it). Lay your headgear flat and stuff it with white tissue paper (or plastic), so that it keeps its rounded shape. Be careful not to leave your cap near a heat source (radiator, hairdryer...) because it may tighten it and shrink the head. A little tip to keep your visor straight, especially if it's a snapback, is to put a book on it while it dries.
Sweat stains are particularly difficult to remove. Indeed, the sweat is printed on different materials of hats. To remove the stains, you can use baking soda: always rub them with cold water gently, and with a toothbrush. Once the operation is over, air dry your hat.
Even if it's okay for your fragile clothes, don't use the washing machine for caps! The visor is also an element that you can clean, but with the utmost caution. Indeed, after wearing it for a long time, you can get fingerprints on the visor. The visor of caps is made of plastic or cardboard. If the visor is made of cardboard, it is obvious that it will not stand up to washing. AVOID MACHINE WASHING BUT TRY DISHWASHER SAFE!

To do so, empty your dishwasher and place your hat in the top part (the part usually reserved for glasses). Then run your machine with cold water. Once the program is finished, take it out without wringing it to drain it and blot it with a towel to remove the excess water. Let it dry in the open air, and your cap is as good as new.
To dry your cap, you can use a "mold" like a plate or a cup so that the back does not sag and keeps its presence. Here's another tip to avoid sweat or perspiration stains: wear a bandana under your cap to avoid marking your favorite hat.
HOW DO YOU GET YOUR HAT BACK INTO SHAPE IF IT'S DEFORMED?
Your cap has lost its original shape after being worn for so long. Stuff your cap with white tissue paper and place it over a kettle or a pot of boiling water, being careful to protect your hands from getting burned. Steam from an iron can also work. Let it dry in the open air, the fibers have relaxed and softened, your cap has regained its shape.
